History

In 1987, Bob Barnes, then President and Chief Operating Officer of Eastern Paramedics of Syracuse, NY became involved in the sales of ambulances and emergency vehicles. Having worked in the Emergency Medical Services since the age of sixteen and being the third generation to sell ambulances, it was a natural fit. In 1988, Bob Reilly, the Operations Manager for Eastern Paramedics, joined forces with Bob Barnes in the sales business. As time went on and their territory expanded, it became apparent that both Barnes and Reilly needed to put together a more complete and professional sales team to serve its larger customer base. Hence, the small DBA of Eastern Rescue Vehicles became North Eastern Rescue Vehicles, Inc.

Industry Experience

The owners of North Eastern Rescue Vehicles, Inc. have 65 years of combined experience in the ambulance industry. Bob Barnes started to work in the family business in 1965- Eastern Paramedics of Syracuse, NY. Since that time he has worked in just about every facet of the industry. “As most of us know, once we get EMS in our blood, it’s always there. We know and understand your emergent needs in this hectic demanding time and that’s why we make ourselves available to our customers and fellow emergency service providers 24/7.” Bob Reilly brings over 25 years of EMS background to his role every day at North Eastern. From his start as an EMT in Utica, NY to his time as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic with Eastern Paramedics, he has worked with both the operations and systems issues surrounding EMS. Through it all, Bob enjoys working with agencies to develop vehicle specs and designs that best serve an agencies need while delivering real value.

We are consistently in the top 5 for ambulance dealers with Road Rescue ambulances in the United States. Our family of quality products now includes: Wheeled Coach, Road Rescue, and Demers Ambulances, along with Hackney Rescue Vehicles. We now also carry the Braun product line in all of NY with the exception of Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Kings, Rockland and Westchester counties!! We have 10 extremely qualified salespeople in New York State. Since 1987, our business has been built through service one customer at a time. We strive to be the one-stop source for all our customers needs. Customer loyalty and repeat sales are what drive our company.
